Here we are in 1973. Anyone remember when polyester clothes were hip? For the first time? This was about the age when the world began to embark upon the threshold of overnight changes becoming realities.... Not minor changes, but grand, sweeping changes that forever altered the way things used to be. We are all so jaded today by the instantaneousness of revolution that we often do not even pause to consider the moral or ethical signifigance. Somehow things will never again be as simple as they were then. I wonder if the ancient Hebrews felt that way? I cannot help but consider these days the signifigance of biblical prophesy and the surety of the return of Christ. All the history of the ages-all the accomplishments of all the great men and women-in the blink of an eye, will matter naught. As we each stand before Him, the account of our lives spread open, naked, totally transparent, we shall realize just how temporary our security in the things of this world really was. Of all that exists-of all that our messiah taught-the greatest and most transcendent of all things is love. The love of a God for His children-of a savior for the lost. The love of a parent for a child......or a child for a parent
